Gloucestershire is a great place to lead an active lifestyle. Whether you’re studying a sports-related subject or a completely different course, we run a unique recreational sports programme, open to all students.
You don’t have to be an expert to take part. We have qualified coaches and instructors on hand to ensure that everyone feels welcome at our introductory sessions. Once you’re hooked, we aim to keep you playing by offering high quality, properly supervised and enjoyable sport where everyone is welcome.
In all of our activities there are opportunities to ‘step in’ as a beginner , to play regularly and compete in leagues and festivals. The FA has partnered with the University of Gloucestershire to set up only 1 of 9 FA Women’s High-Performance Football Centre’s (FA WHPFC) in the Country.
The centre provides an educational and community-based setting to recruit, develop and deploy coaches, who will lead and inspire player development specifically in the women’s and girls’ game.
